Airbnb export guide

How to export Airbnb earnings to CSV

On desktop, open Today > Menu > Earnings in Airbnb, choose Upcoming or Paid, then use Get report to create a CSV. For a completed-period review, start with Paid and select the dates and listings you need.

CSV workflow

  • Official Airbnb export steps
  • CSV field checklist
  • Synthetic example file
  • No Airbnb account connection

1. Open Earnings and choose the transactions

In your Airbnb hosting account, select Today > Menu > Earnings. Open Upcoming or Paid. Filter by listing, payout method, and date range. Upcoming and paid transactions describe different stages; choose the view that matches what you want to review.

2. Create a CSV report, not a PDF statement

Click Get report, then choose Open on your device or Email your report. Configure the data fields and click Create report. Airbnb also offers PDF earnings statements, but a PDF is not a CSV import file. These desktop steps were checked against Airbnb Help on October 30, 2026; labels can change.

3. Keep the fields needed to interpret each row

Keep the original headers and include listing, date, transaction type, currency, gross earnings, host service fee, and payout amounts where available. An Amount-only export may not contain enough information: HostPayout needs gross earnings, or Amount together with a separate host-fee column, for its standard transaction CSV parser. Do not invent missing figures or assume every report layout is supported.

4. Save the original and review before importing

Keep an untouched copy of the Airbnb export. Check date range, listing names, currency, refunds, and adjustments before saving imported rows. A spreadsheet can change date formats when resaving a file, so try the original CSV first. Remove unnecessary personal details without deleting fields needed for the import.

Example review

A synthetic Airbnb CSV example

The downloadable example below contains one invented reservation row for Example Listing, not a real Airbnb export or a mandatory template. Its Gross Earnings is 1,000 USD, Host Fee is 30 USD, and Amount is 970 USD. Actual Airbnb fields and fee rates can differ.

Preserve headers

Examples recognized by the standard parser include Listing, Date, Gross Earnings, Host Fee, Amount, and Currency.

Check the report type

Airbnb earnings-summary CSVs and transaction CSVs are different layouts. A renamed PDF is not a CSV.

Review, then save

Check parsed rows and property assignments before relying on the imported result.

Monthly process

From CSV to profit view

Step 1

Try a sample first

Open the no-signup demo or download the synthetic example below before sharing your own export.

Step 2

Import your chosen CSV

Create an account for the full import workflow. No Airbnb password or account connection is needed.

Step 3

Review property assignments

Check recognized rows, fields, and listing assignments before saving. An earnings CSV alone does not include every owner-paid expense.

FAQ

Common questions

Where do I download an Airbnb CSV?

On desktop, go to Today > Menu > Earnings, choose Upcoming or Paid, filter the transactions, and click Get report. Select Open on your device or Email your report, configure the fields, and click Create report. See the official Airbnb instructions linked below for current steps.

Why is my Airbnb CSV missing Gross Earnings?

Check the report fields when creating the export and download it again with the available gross and fee details. For standard transaction CSVs, HostPayout accepts Gross Earnings or reconstructs gross from Amount plus a separate host-fee column. An Amount-only file without that fee column is insufficient. Keep the original headers rather than renaming columns to hide a missing value.

Can I upload an Airbnb PDF instead?

Use a CSV for this workflow. Airbnb PDF statements are a different download option; changing the filename from .pdf to .csv does not convert the contents.

Does downloading the example send my Airbnb data?

No. The example contains invented data and downloading it does not upload your own file. Choosing a real CSV in the public payout calculator sends its contents and filename to HostPayout for storage and internal parser analysis. Remove unnecessary personal details before uploading and review the privacy policy.

Does this guide replace Airbnb support?

No. This is an independent HostPayout guide, not an Airbnb page. Export controls can vary by device and account. Follow Airbnb Help for the current interface, and keep your original downloaded file.
